How accurate are the test results?

The hydrogen breath test is the established test used to identify fructose malabsorption and lactose intolerance by healthcare professionals. The Leaky Gut Syndrome Breath Test, ScoreMySugar™ and WorkoutOptimzer™ are proprietary products developed through more than 20 years of medical research conducted for the pharmaceutical industry by the parent company of Breath Testing at Home.

Are the results confidential?

Yes. We will always maintain strict confidentiality regarding your lab results and your personal information. No one else but you will receive the results.

Do you accept other forms of payment besides credit cards?

Yes. We also accept prepaid VISA and Mastercard cards, and debit cards. If you choose to send a check  or money order be sure to include your name, mailing address, telephone number, email address and the type of test(s) you would like to receive.  Send to:

What if I live outside of the United States?

We will ship kits to any country; however, you do not qualify for free shipping. We ship the kit using the most economical United Parcel Service option and add the cost to your credit card. Please email us at to discuss the order.

Taking the Test

Where is the breath test performed?

All tests are performed in your home at your convenience.

Will you file insurance claims for me?

No, the tests are not reimbursable by health insurance.

How are samples returned to the laboratory for testing?

Your test kit box is also a prepaid mailer to return breath samples to the lab. Simply seal the box using the tape found in the kit and drop in any United States Postal Service (USPS) mailbox.

How long can I wait before sending the breath specimens back to Breath Testing at Home?

For optimal results it is recommended that breath specimens be mailed within 14 days of completing the test.

Test Results

When and how will I get my results? 

Results will be emailed to you within 24 hours of receipt of breath samples at Breath Testing at Home.

Kit Wasn’t Received

Why hasn’t my kit arrived?

Breath Testing at Home uses United States Postal Service to transport your kit to you. It may take up to 14 days to receive your kit. If you have waited 14 days and you still don’t have the package:

  • See if someone else accepted delivery. Check with household members, neighbors, building managers, the mail room, front desk, and anyone else who may have accepted the delivery.
  • Look around the delivery location. Sometimes drivers leave packages in a safe, hidden place like on a side porch, in/around your garage, or behind bushes.
  • Look for a notice of attempted delivery. You may find an attempted delivery notice in your mailbox or P.O. Box or on your door. Follow the instructions on that notice to request redelivery or pick up the package.

Can I return a kit?

If you decide that you no longer want to take the test and wish to receive a refund, do not open the kit. Only kits that have not been opened are eligible for a refund. Please return the kit to: Breath Testing at Home, 460 Amherst Street, Suite 5, Nashua, NH 03063. Include your complete name, address and telephone. We will credit your credit card account for the cost of the kit minus a $20.00 restocking fee.
